Cruising America's Great Loop 2003-05

America's Great Loop is the circumnavigation of Eastern North America by water. It is the trip of a lifetime.   We did the Loop in four stages Kentucky Lake to Bradenton, FL, Bradenton to Oxford, DE, Oxford to Brewerton/Syracuse NY, and Syracuse to Kentucky Lake.  Click here to start at the beginning. After completing the trip we developed our adventure story "What to Expect Cruising America's Great Loop". Check out a preview of this program here. Trip Statistics 173 days aboard 11 nights at anchor 157 nights at docks 1 night underway.  Started Oct 17, 2003 and finished July 18, 2005. Elapsed time 21 months, 692 Engine hours 140 generator hours 1745 gallons diesel @ $2,996, 2.52 gal/hr, 5,614 miles 3.22 miles/gal, 4,429 photos.


Cruising the Tennessee River 2006, 2012, 2013

In 2006 we cruised the Tennessee River on the Katy Leigh 650 miles from Kenlake Marina to Knoxville and back. In 2012 we took the Katy Leigh from Kenlake Marina to Joe Wheeler State Park and attended the AGLCA Rendevous.  It was a great opportunity to test our new radar, AIS, and chartplotters. Click here to start at the beginning.

Cruising the Cumberland River 2007

Cordell Hull Lake about Mile 320In 2007 we cruised the Cumberland River on the Katy Leigh to the head of navigation at mile 381.0.  Highlights include Land Between the Lakes, Ft Donelson NP, Clarksville, Nashville, Old Hickory Lake, Cordell Hull Lake, Granville, Gainsboro, and Celina.
