Feb 8 Day 19 Tuesday, Hobe Sound, FL

Today we toured the Jonathan Dickinson State Park "coastal sand pine scrub" by bike, motorhome, and tour boat. I finally got the bike out of under the bunk bed and found the chain had come off the sprockets and got tangled up. It took an hour to straighten it all out and I went for a nice ride to the highest mountain in South Florida, an 86 ft high ancient sand dune. We drove over to the tour boat dock on the Loxahatchee River, one of the last natural rivers in Florida. During the tour the wildlife was everywhere with birds, alligators, turtles and a manatee family. You really don't see much of manatees, just a black back and swirl in the water. It's much like whale watching.
