Feb 16 Day 27, Sunrise, Fl to Key Biscayne, FL
Traffic was heavy on I-95 but we made it to Coconut Grove without incident.
This is where James Deering, VP of International Harvester built his Italian summer home, Vizcaya, in 1916.
The home is packed with European antiques of all kinds. The home is much like the Ringling Mansion in Sarasota. The gardens are particularly ornate.

The home is right on the water. The Stone Barge acts as a breakwater protecting the small harbor beside the East Terrace. We stopped again on the beach beside the causeway to Key Biscayne. Tomorrow and Friday will be Boat Show days in Miami and Miami Beach.
